Andile Dyalvane
Born in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, Andile Dylavane trained in ceramics at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2003.
“My current inspirations are drawn from my immediate environment, inner city urban life and its relation to where I come from.” He says.
His ceramic masterpieces have been extensively exhibited in South Africa and launched in the USA this year with gallery Friedman Brenda.
He has been awarded residencies in Denmark, France, the United States, and Taiwan.
His works are in the permanent collections of the Iziko National Museum, Cape Town, South Africa; Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Museum of Art, Port Elizabeth, South Africa; and Yingge Ceramic Museum, Taipei, Taiwan.
